This is how I deal with trolls....
📱The good thing about social media is the connection.
The challenge....is the trolls.🧟♂️
There are some people who wish to tell you how to dress, live, love, and believe. They don’t encourage self expression or self acceptance. They encourage fear, self hatred and control.🧛🏽♀️🧛🏽♂️🧟♀️
But here’s a secret...
YOU GIVE OUT WHAT YOU POSSESS.
If you possess self love, self acceptance, and internal fairness- you encourage others to love themselves and accept all of their flaws and their strengths.🧖🏽♀️
It’s when you feel like YOU are bad or YOU are not validated or accepted or YOU are not worthy that you then spew that out to others.🦂
So when I get hate from others now, I feel the sting and the panic but then I remind myself.... that this person is reflecting their OWN self hate and invalidation. This comment or DM isn’t about me. It’s about their own struggles and because they haven’t done the work to love themselves....they look for an OUTSIDE SOURCE to focus their hate on.
So, #blockthehate and #lovewhoyouare
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL and WORTHY. Your experiences are VALID. And if you are someone who pushes negative 👎🏾 thoughts on others....see this as your sign to refocus on loving who you are.
Because what bothers you about someone else is often what you don’t like or haven’t accepted about yourself. ✌🏽
